ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Hope Behind Bars Africa is seeking a Finance Associate to join its team in Abuja.
The organisation is looking for a finance and administration professional with practical experience in an NGO or development organisation who can contribute effectively to financial management, administration, procurement, and broader operational functions.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES
Applicants should possess:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of relevant professional experience in finance, administration, and procurement.
- Mandatory: Previous experience working with an NGO or donor-funded organisation.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and excellent organisational skills.
- Strong knowledge of financial management principles and accounting practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar platforms.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and integrity in handling financial information.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
The successful candidate should be organised, detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of handling financial responsibilities with a high degree of accuracy, professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity.
Experience within the NGO or donor-funded sector is particularly important for this position.
